Paul Kangave, the Greater Masaka Regional Police Spokesperson confirmed the MPs arrest but for allegedly inciting violence. He however, declined to divulge specifics of the charges against Ssekikubo but said his file has been sanctioned, adding that the MP will appear in court.
The number of people that died in an accident which occurred on Friday evening along Masaka-Mbarara highway has risen to seven after two others have been announced dead this afternoon at Masaka Regional Referral Hospital.
The accident occurred at Kyabbogo Village, in Kingo Sub-County when a speeding registration number UAU 523M heading to Kampala from Mbarara rammed into a Toyota Noah registration number UAN 429H whose driver had made an abrupt U-turn.
Paul Kangave, the Southern Region Police Spokesperson has confirmed the incident, saying that police investigations into the matter have kicked off. He says Kasujja was picked up to help police investigations into the theft of the gun.
