Sam Eremu, the village chairperson of Awinyi in Kamuda Sub County says he received masks but does not have the time to distribute them to the community. He argues they are being exploited by the government which has not considered their welfare.
Richard Oboi, the Soroti District Planner says that four billion will be spent on capital development especially the construction of classrooms, teachers’ houses and pit latrines while the rest of money will be used for wages and operations.
According to the Resident District Commissioner of Soroti who chairs the Taskforce, William Wilberforce Tukei, fuel crisis has forced the district to reduce on the number of vehicles carrying out surveillance to three. He explains that at the beginning, the Taskforce had deployed 10 vehicles for surveillance where each sub county had a vehicle.
