According to Masaka Regional Police Spokesperson Muhamad Nsubuga, the deceased has been identified as Lydia Nakabubi. She is from the same family that lost three members in the accident, which claimed 14 lives on the spot, on Thursday morning.

In April, government donated 2 mortuary refrigerators to Masaka hospital at Shillings 70 million each. Dr. Onyachi has asked Masaka municipality to replace at the attendants in the municipal mortuary since those deployed by the hospital have relocated to the new facility.
