Kampala Minister equally sounded helpless as she narrated how the effort to decommission the landfill was frustrated by the lack of funds.

Members of Parliament have tasked Government officials to explain plans to pay for land occupied by other individuals instead of only paying the demolished St. Peter Church Ndeeba.

Last month businessman Kiconco obtained an eviction order from the Deputy Registrar of the High Court Deo Ninzeyimana.

On Tuesday morning, the residents filed their appeal basing on six grounds challenging the Judgement delivered in October 2019 by Justice Tadeo Asiimwe of the Land Division of High Court.

The notice of appeal was filed on Monday through their lawyers of Nalukoola, Kakeeto Advocates and Lukwago & Co. Advocates.

Court also ordered the squatters who were evicted from the land on Lusanja located on the Mpererwe-Kiteezi Road to vacate it in 30 days.
