According to Mwebesa many patients' condition is worsening because they are getting higher of lower doses of oxygen. He says that instead of self medicating, patients should go to hospital where their conditions can be monitored by qualified staff
Muhammad Mubiru, the Principal l Administrator Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital, says 15 of those in the HDU are critically ill. "We have run out of space in our COVID-19 ward. We even had to add more beds after our surveillance team brought more patients on Wednesday. We can no longer admit more patients," Mubiru said.
Dr Elizabeth Namukwaya, a palliative care physician at the hospital currently based at the Isolation centre said they have finished initial drafts and hope to have a complete document by the end of this week.
In an interview with Uganda Radio Network, Prof. Nawangwe said they have a budget of US$400million where the plan is to have a 200 bed capacity facility that will sit on 30 acres of land at Katalemwa in Gayaza Wakiso district.
