Eyewitnesses reported that Kiggundu was attacked while heading to work early in the morning, and his motorcycle, which he had acquired through a loan, was stolen. Speaking from Mukono General Hospital, Kiggundu’s father, Abdullah Bogere, voiced his concern about his son's condition.

Geoffrey Lwanga, the LCI Chairperson of Mulago Cell where the facility is located says that the hospital management should construct a separate private wing due to congestion.
Elisa Mukasa Nkoyoyo, the Mayor of Mukono Municipality, says that prolonging the handover of the hospital to the district will continue creating confusion and affect service delivery.

Dr. Godfrey Kasirye, the Medical Superintendent Mukono General Hospital, says that much as the number of referrals and turn up of patients has increased, the number of health workers and equipment has never improved since they were elevated. He says there are about 80 health workers at the hospital.
At the beginning of the month, the district suspended volunteers from attending to any hospital activities claiming limited space during this period of covid-19.
Four other family members identified as Passy Mulenwa 10, Cathy Nalumansi 12, Latifa Ndibasa, 6 and their mother Halima Nakato, 27 were rushed to Mukono General Hospital in critical condition. According to eyewitnesses, the family had left two lit charcoal stoves in the same room before going to bed last night.
Dr. Geoffrey Kasirye, the acting Administrator, Mukono General Hospital notes that he has already communicated to the Mukono Police Division Commander, Joab Wabwiire about the challenging manner under, which suspects are sent to the hospital.
However, the two administrative units have been bickering over the management of the facility since it was elevated to a hospital. Mukono municipal council officials led by the Mayor, George Fred Kagimu claimed that it was the municipal council, which pushed for the elevation of the facility to a health center IV to a General Hospital.
