His son Robinson Kaunda and other family members had scheduled on Saturday to bury Okoya at his home in Latyeng village, Agonga Parish in Bungatira Sub-county, Gulu District according to his son.
Okoya died on July 13 at his home in Awere Cell in Pece-Laroo Division in Gulu City after months of battling prostate cancer. He was 99 years old. His body has since been lying at the Fourth Infantry Division military morgue in Gulu City pending burial.
