Maj. Gen Jim Muhwezi, the Rujumbura Member of Parliament has replaced Gen Ely Tumwine- who has been serving as Security Minister since 2018. For the position of Minister for General Duties in the Prime Minister’s Office, the former NRM Secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba, has replaced Mary Karoro Okurut.
Cabinet also approved another request to borrow up to USD 235 million from the African Development Bank to finance the construction of three roads of Namagumba Budadiri Nalugugu (29Kms), Katuna-Muko-Kamuganguzi Road (104kms) and Laropi-Moyo Afoji Road at the South Sudan border, (37kms).
Speaking at the launch of the project at Sheraton Hotel, Prof. Engineer Bainomugisha, the lead researcher said that lack of air quality data to quantify the magnitude and scale of air pollution levels is a big challenge in Uganda and across the African continent.
Nabakooba also took a swipe at some local government public relations officers for failing to update district websites detailing government achievements such as mechanized agricultural systems in preference of discussing political tales, which have dragged young people in abject poverty since they lack information to transform their lives.
