Tumwebaze says cash donations are tempting and also items to be procured could take longer because of the procedures that must be taken such as domestic and international bidding among others.
The chairperson of the Agriculture committee Janet Grace Okori-moe says that they are taking interest in the locust funding, and also want to find out the extent at which the locusts could have caused damage.
According to Tibejuka, the first meeting will take place in Moroto district on Wednesday. The district has been designated as one of the operation centres.
