The farmers from the parishes of Gem, Opwac and Jaka parishes in Lalogi Sub County lost over 600 acres of crop gardens that were due for harvest to a heavy rainfall that was accompanied by strong wind and hailstorm and lasted for several hours.
Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson, Patrick Jimmy Okema said preliminary findings indicate that the clashes arose from a land suit case which Jaka clan leader, Bwobi Sezi won against Kal clan, both before local council and Gulu High Courts.
