After her nomination, Alupo whose seat is being negotiated by former Uganda People's Congress Member Cecelia Anyakoit expressed appreciation for the nomination process, describing it as short, simple, and easy.
Addressing journalists on Monday during a press briefing about the ongoing parish-level elections within the party, Dr. Tanga disclosed that the petitions followed the elections held on May 6, 2025. He noted that the majority of the petitions have already been concluded, with only three still pending.
