Trump achieved one of the most doubtful victories in modern US history to ascend to the White House with 279 Electoral College votes. The republican nominee won Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina, among other states to upset his main challenger Democrat Hillary Clinton whose count stands at 218 Electoral College votes.
