This follows clashes between Uganda People Defense Forces-UPDF Soldiers and South Sudan People’s Defense Forces at Otwilo in Pangira Parish, near Ngomoromo border post. The UPDF shot dead two South Sudan People’s Defense Forces soldiers and captured one alive with three guns.
Two South Sudan soldiers were shot dead and one captured alive by UPDF on Tuesday afternoon in a heated gunfire exchange as they defended an illegal roadblock they had erected on Ugandan territory, 1.5 kms from Ngomoromo Border Post in Lokung sub-county.
Security personnel at Ngomoromo border checkpoint who sought anonymity for fear of reprisal said that the armed men invaded the Ugandan territory on Monday night and erected a roadblock at Lakolori, a kilometre from the previous checkpoint in Otwilo all territories on the Ugandan side.
