Currently, the City Health department has only 89 out of the required 175 staffs at both the health facilities, city and division health offices, equivalent to 51 percent which is against the national recommended minimum of at least 75 per cent.
Last year, Al Nuami Group and Abubakar Technical Services were awarded a 37 billion shillings contract to construct a children’s park, and make improvements on existing roads including Note-Ber road, Olwol road, and Boundary Road, Obangakene, Aber road, and Coronation Park.
The Uganda Police Force’s engineering department this week started erecting poles for the CCTV cameras to be placed on. They will be installed in prime locations which include Odokomit, on Lira -Kampala highway, Lira-Kitgum road, and Lira-Soroti road among other areas.
