According to the revised Electoral Commission campaign program issued on Tuesday, Mayambala was scheduled to campaign in the districts of Ntoroko, Kabarole and finalise with Bundibugyo.
According to the Electoral Commission – EC campaign schedule, Mayambala was supposed to start his campaigns in Tooro from Kamwenge district on Tuesday.
Mayambala has been campaigning in some districts in central region since he was nominated and cleared by the Electoral Commission to canvas for votes. He told URN in an interview on Saturday evening among the burdens he is currently facing is paying off the company where he hired the vehicle he has been using since the campaigns begun, fueling it and printing campaign posters.
While addressing the people of Butambala district at Kabasanda and Gombe trading centers, Mayambala said that he would instead increase the value for money to enable everyone complaining of little pay to happily utilize what he or she is currently earning
Henry Kizito, a resident of Kiriri trading centre said that he was startled to see Mayambala’s saloon car escorted by a fully equipped Electoral Commission vehicle manned by police personnel. He says this tantamount to wastage of resources.
But his campaign coordinator Jamal Karim told URN that the candidate was unable to make it to Wakiso as scheduled, but was making arrangements for another date to campaign in the district. With more than 1.6 voters, Wakiso is a key voting area for candidates in the race.
