The attackers who roam the areas while armed with machetes, pangas, guns among other deadly weapons on Wednesday raided Abara village and burnt down houses, raided cattle, destroyed household and garden properties belonging to the Acholi people, and also attacked, injured, and reportedly killed an unspecified numbers of them in Panyikwara State.
The six are Richard Otto, Gaetano John Bosco Ouma, Michael Onono, Richard Ocaya, Geoffrey Onen and Geoffrey Kilama, all residents of Okidi North Village in Attiak Sub County Amuru district.
Geoffrey Osborn Oceng, the Amuru Resident District Commissioner, says that the South Sudan army picked up the six while cutting trees in a forest in Magwi County.
The day-long meeting took place at the UPDF 4th Division Barracks in Gulu City West Division. The meeting was aimed at sharing challenges to foster strengthened border security mechanisms and adapting to peaceful working relations.
