Dr Enock Kabanda, the Uganda Police Mental Health Focal Point Person issued the warning during an awareness creation meeting for journalists organized jointly with Ministry of Health to sensitize the media on 2015 Tobacco Control Act.
According to Dr Enock, police officers will kick start immediate operations and apprehend the cigarette smokers within the city.
Lt. Colonel Edward Ijjo told Uganda Radio Network in an interview on Wednesday afternoon that the operations were prompted by various complaints from the public on the usage of illegal fishing gear on Lake Albert.
