Covid Surge: Church Leaders Call on Ugandans to Pray and Fast 1

Uganda is currently faced with a deadly second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic and President Yoweri Museveni on Friday night tightened COVID-19 preventive measures by reinstating some of last year's tough lockdown measures. The measures including a ban on all non-essential movement, closures of places of worship and schools for the next 42 days and the revising of curfew hours to start at 7pm from 9pm so as to forestall the fast rate at which the virus is spreading in communities, by requiring people to stay home to interrupt the transmission of the disease.
