Dorcus Wakelo, the Senior Nursing Officer and Assistant District Health Officer (DHO) in charge of Maternal and Child Health at Aduku Health Center IV, said the mortuary can accommodate 8 to 12 corpses daily. However, she highlighted gaps in staffing at the facility and called for additional support.
The government hospital located in Olami cell, Ikwera ward in Aduku Town Council, was established as a dispensary in the early 1940s with only a general ward and an OPD structure, however from the time of its construction, the district has not put up another ward citing financial burdens.
