The deceased identified as, Stewart Abitegeka, a resident of Kisanja village in Labbongo sub county in Masindi district was among hundreds of youths who turned up for the recruitment exercise at Masindi field artillery division Barracks.
Flavia Terimulungi, the UPDF 4th Division Spokesperson says that 65 will be recruited from Alebtong, 53 from Dokolo and 117 from both Lira District and City.
Samuel Kisembo, the Hoima Resident City Commissioner- RCC says that 116 applicants turned up for the exercise in Hoima city adding that of these 97 are males while 19 are females.
It is alleged that Kasozi approached the office of the Kagadi Resident District Commissioner-RDC on Monday, to deliver his application in order to be considered in the ongoing recruitment of Local Defence Unit-LDU Personnel.
