Fayo Bayo’s first half goal was enough to help the hosts secure a well-deserved victory against Rwanda in their bid to qualify for their first ever FIFA world Cup.
“Mubiru had changed our game, he had given us the right picture although we had not started getting the results our playing style was adored all over. I was not happy when they completely eliminated coach Mubiru at least they would have retained him as the assistant coach if they are to rebuild the team,” Ssimbwa said.

Uganda Cranes will miss the services of midfielder Tadeo Lwanga and Egypt based winger, Abdul Lumala, in their clash against Kenya’s Harambe Stars in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for September 2, 2021.
On Thursday, the team departed for Ethiopia aboard Emirates Airways. They will play Ethiopia in a friendly game before they face Kenya in the world Cup qualifiers.
