The female junior team will host Ghana on January 22nd, 2022 at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in their first leg of the fourth round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers and face off two weeks later in the return leg.

Uganda is preparing for a doubleheader against giants South Africa in the third round of the qualifiers over two legs. The first leg will take place at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on December 3rd, before the return leg in South Africa.
On Tuesday, the team lost their build-up game 2-1 to She Corporates that was played at MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo. Sumaya Komuntale scored the only goal for the National team side.
The second leg will be played on 8th October in Kampala with the winner of the aggregate advancing to the next stage. The winner will face either South Africa or Mozambique.
The team captain Fauzia Najjemba said her fellow players are in good shape to face Kenya, she says that they are hoping to win the first leg and have an advantage over Kenya.
Kiyingi named a squad of 20 players from those that were training at Njeru. The squad comprises two goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and five forwards.
Whereas his team lost 1-0 to the Crested Cranes on Tuesday, Kiyingi is contented with the performance of the players. “It was a very good performance. There were some impressive results although we lost 1-0 I was comfortable with the way the players expressed themselves,” he stated.
