Napak Chief Administrative Officer Arrested on Allegations of Embezzlement alebtong district 1

Mbaagwa was arrested by the State House Anti- Corruption Unit from his office this morning after he allegedly failed to turn up for questioning last month. Napak District Police Commander Michael Ongica told URN that the CAO had been summoned in connection to allegations of corruption, diversion of government funds and embezzlement involving nine other officials from Alebtong District.

A survey conducted by Uganda Radio Network indicates that little or no impact has been felt in Luweero district months after beneficiaries received funding. The district disbursed shs 432 million to 67 selected youths groups spread in 13 sub counties during the Financial year 2013/14. The groups comprising of not more than 15 youths each, were given between shs 5-11 million to start or boost their projects.
