The order was issued this morning by Justice Susan Okalany following a request by Kiyemba's lawyer Geoffrey Turyamusiima, who observed that his client did not seem to be in good mental capacity. He said that over time, he has noticed that Kiyemba's speech is uncoordinated.
On Tuesday, ICD Lady Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha confirmed charges of rendering support to a terrorist group, belonging or professing to belong to a terrorist group, and soliciting or inviting support for a terrorist organization.
The prosecution told Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court presided over by Dr. Douglas Singiza, that between 2021 and January 2022 while in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC, the ex- Guantanamo inmate in Cuba together with others still at large, belonged or professed to belong to ADF, a designated terror organization.
