Michael Longole, the Mt Moroto regional police spokesperson confirmed the incident asserting that the soldier broke into the residence of Officer-in-Charge Nakapelimoru police station and accessed the gun he used for killing the people.
The joint security forces are currently holding a warrior only identified as Modo, who is suspected of involvement in the crime. Although the suspect admitted to being part of the attacking group, he denied being responsible for the victims' deaths on that ill-fated day.
Joseph Komol Lote, Kotido District LC V chairperson said the current district offices are dilapidated and their efforts to complete the new building have been frustrated due to the lack of funds. He explained that since Kotido is one of the oldest districts in the region, its offices are in a very alarming state.
Susan Akot, the head teacher of Kalosarich primary school told URN that the suspected armed warriors cut the school fence to access the teacher's staff quarters.
The materials were delivered at around 1:30 pm by a military helicopter. District and municipal education authorities and security personnel received the materials at Lomukura primary school.
