Prosecution alleges that all these crimes occurred on November 2nd 2023 at Chwa II Road in Mbuya in Nakawa Division where Katanga was murdered from in his marital bedroom.
The pistol, black in color, was on Monday presented by Derrick Nasawali, a Firearms Examiner and head of Ballistics and Toolmarks at the Uganda Police Force's Forensic Department.

The three assessors in this case are Simon Atongo, Sharp Mutonyi, and Consolate Tabu, who were appointed by the first trial judge, Isaac Muwata, to attend the daily hearings and advise the court on whether to convict Molly Katanga and four other accused individuals on charges related to the death of businessman Henry Katanga.
The cross-examination focused on her testimony, which revolved around documents confided to her by the late Henry Katanga, including a safe containing sales, purchase, loan agreements, and other important records.
During cross-examination, the accused person's lawyers led by John Jet Tumwebaze pointed out discrepancies in Nyangwesho's three police statements. Notably, they indicate that Nyangwesho failed to provide specific lines where her brother allegedly confided in her about Molly's threat.
"He told me Molly was very dangerous and that's why he didn't use his vehicle. He also warned me not to call him frequently because his phone was being tapped," said Nyangweso.
The judge explained that the said items would be marked and identified until the witnesses who recovered them came forward to testify and tender them as exhibits. "It, therefore, follows that a chain or evidence has to be followed before the exhibits are admitted right from the time of recovery to the tendering," said Muwata.
According to the testimony of Dr Ambayo,the bullet had entered Katanga's head seven centimeters below the vertex and exited through the ear, causing commuted fractures and injuring his brain.
The Court has heard that on November 2, 2023, at Mbuya, Chwa II, in Nakawa Division, with malice aforethought, Molly Katanga killed her husband, Henry Katanga.

“In the new application, it could be concluded that the applicant has failed to prove her condition couldn’t be managed by prison authorities. There is no new ground of ailment raised in the application but rather a mere mention of it. This matter was considered in the previous application,” said Justice Muwata.
The evidence before the Court indicates that Molly was found to suffer from hypertension with multiple breast masses, paranasal sinusitis, vertigo, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Prosecution criticized the medical doctor who authored the reports, saying he lacked the qualifications to make the conclusions he did, as he is not a cardiologist but rather qualified in general medicine.
