On the fateful day of June 28, 2019, Kimbowa, now aged 27 and a resident of Kiyenje Zone, was riding a motorcycle heading to Kampala, but the journey was cut short when an oncoming Toyota Corona vehicle knocked him near St. Mark Cathedral in Luwero Town Council.
According to Nakitanda, four masked thugs armed with pangas, sticks, and a hammer broke into her home in Kakookolo zone around 2:00 am on Sunday. They threatened to kill her unless she surrendered the money. Nakitanda added that the thugs cut her hand and aimed a heavy hammer at her head to force her to reveal where she kept the money collected on Saturday from her shop.
