The protestors from Kyambogo, Makerere and Kampala International Universities, had gathered outside the European Union offices at Nile Avenue in Kampala.
Carrying placards and wearing t-shirts with protest messages, the students were reportedly marching to Parliament to submit a petition calling for the immediate halt of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project's construction.
