The Lords Resistance Army LRA rebel attacks on civilians in Central African Republic CAR and neighbouring countries are on a decline, the LRA Crisis Tracker reveals. Brigadier Richard Karemire, the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces UPDF spokesperson, says that the decline in abductions and attacks shows that the LRA is no more. He says thats why the UPDF started withdrawing from CAR, adding that they have neutralised the rebel capacity to make war.
A contingent of the Ugandan army returning from Central African Republic CAR are being accused of having sexually exploited or abused at least 13 women and girls since 2015. A report by Human Rights Watch HRW says at least one rape was registered. In a statement issued by its Nairobi office, HRW says it interviewed 13 women and 3 girls early this year.

The Supreme Court has ordered for the trial of former Lord\'s Resistance Army (LRA) rebel commander Thomas Kwoyelo. The Attorney General had appealed to the Supreme Court against a Constitutional Court decision that Kwoyelo had a right to receive amnesty like other former LRA rebels under the Amnesty Act.
In a ruling made this afternoon, the court decided to make public documents relating to the case of Dominic Ongwen. The documents 21 in total, are a revelation of arrest warrants and requests for arrest of rebels made to three governments; Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan.

However, Ankunda denies the claim saying Ongwen surrendered and came into contact with the rebels while looking for people to welcome him from the bush.
