Rev Joshua Angella, the Archdeacon for the Nakapiripirit Archdeaconry said that the church played a pivotal role in fostering unity, reconciliation, and forgiveness which promoted the peaceful coexistence among the Pokot and Pian communities .
According to preliminary reports, a group of Pian and Pokot warriors clashed in Kawala village, resulting in the death of an unidentified Karamojong man. The incident is believed to be related to a cattle raid that occurred earlier in the day.
