According to preliminary reports, a group of Pian and Pokot warriors clashed in Kawala village, resulting in the death of an unidentified Karamojong man. The incident is believed to be related to a cattle raid that occurred earlier in the day.
It is reported that the warriors first had a crossfire with the Pian pastoralists where they killed two people and injured several others before invading the ASTU detachment.
