The delegates have also unanimously agreed to conduct the exercise within Jinja city between 25th,May and 7th, June 2022, as a means of according the participating countries enough time to plan for the FTX.

Leonard Lwanga from Kyandondo Secondary School in Matugga who is one of the 2050 teachers undergoing training at Trinity College Nabbingo in Wakiso District, said some of his colleagues packed their bags when they heard parliament’s decision on media.
This afternoon, the teachers stormed out of the meeting upon learning that each of them will receive 30,000 Shillings at the end of the training. Many said they had been made to believe that each of them is entitled to a daily allowance of 30,000 Shillings. They argued that the allowance is not enough to cover their transport cost, especially for those who travelled from neighbouring districts.
The teachers had been informed that they were to sign for a transport refund of 30,000 Shillings each. They stormed out of the training hall at around 12:30 pm demanding their facilitators to either increase the transport costs or cancel the training.
“We invited 30 players from different schools and selected football clubs all over the country, with most of them lacking match experience but after this one- week training am sure they can hustle all the tasks ahead of them,” she said.
The nurses are attending the nationwide training ahead of the age-wide national Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign which is due to run from the October 16-20 targeting children older than 9 months to under 15 years of age. At the same time, a booster dose of oral polio vaccine will be given to all children younger than five years of age.
According to Patrick Bamukunda Batukura, the Assistant Chief Commissioner in charge of Training at the Uganda Scouts Association –USA, the winning teams will be taken through training to ensure they win at regional level as well.
Mujuni says children as young as five years of age were cited at the National Scouts Camping site in Kaazi, a suburb of Wakiso district during this year’s national competition. This he says is against scouting guidelines.
