Odoi explained that he had received vital information indicating that some DEC members in Hoima were campaigning for some candidates in the woman MP primaries, which he said must stop immediately because it goes against the party constitution.
The campaign was announced at a conference held this morning at the Boston Marriot in Newton, Massachusetts. The conference was attended by Ugandans from across the United States of America, who came together to purposely discuss the proposed constitutional amendment.
The orders were issued by Deputy Registrar Muse Musiimbi after the firm sued NRM. The same court orders have seen two bank accounts; 2910500001 held in Centenary bank and account number 0121152263500 held in Housing Finance bank attached to recover the said debt.

Okori states that the guidelines are invalid because NRM does not have powers to interfere with any ones fundamental right to take part in party primaries. He says a number of would-be contenders cannot afford the charge of 2million Shillings that is required of every parliamentary aspirant.
Tanga Odoi, the Chairman of the NRM Electoral Commission says at least 202 million Shillings was raised from parliamentary aspirants, only five of whom, were incumbent legislators. Each person seeking nomination for a parliamentary seat pays 2million Shillings in nomination fees.
Persons vying for the presidency will pay up to 10 million Shillings, persons seeking nomination for parliamentary seats will pay 2million Shillings, while those seeking the District Chairmans flag will pay a nomination fee of 1million Shillings.
However, Law Professor Jean Barya says the decision taken by the NRM is a recipe for disaster, not only for the ruling party, but for the entire country.
