In the areas of Rwakaraba and Burambira in Kabale municipality as well as Bubaare, Hamurwa, Ikumba and Muko sub-counties in Rubanda, several campaign posters especially of National Resistance Movement- NRM party aspirants have been pinned on the road signs.

Four passengers have been critically injured in an accident involving a bus belonging to Bismarkan Coaches Limited. The accident occurred on Monday morning at Kanaba Corner in Kanaba Sub County along Kabale Kisoro road in Kisoro District.
In 2007, Government contracted an Israel firm, Solel Boneh International-SBI Company to upgrade Kabale - Kisoro road to tarmac. Construction work was completed in 2012 and the road was handed over to Uganda National Roads Authority-UNRA in December of the same year.
The traders accuse their leaders of being corrupt and discriminatory. They claim that the eviction of traders has only affected indigenous merchants and left out Kenyan and Rwanda nationals who could possibly have bribed the authorities to maintain their presence.
