Parliament has today vetted and approved seven newly appointed ministers. The approved include Philemon Mateke, the incoming minister for Regional Cooperation, David Bahati as State Minister for Planning, Vincent Ssempijja as State Minister for Agriculture and others.
The others vetted include the incoming Minister for Youth and Children Affairs Evelyn Anite, State Minister of Health Chris Baryomunsi, Information Minister Jim Muhwezi and State Minister for Higher Education Tickodri Togboa.
Youth representatives in Parliament have tasked the incoming Minister of State for Youth and children Affairs, Evelyn Anite to serve the interests of all youths in the country, regardless of their party affiliation. President Yoweri Museveni recently reshuffled the Cabinet; appointing Anite to the position, in what political pundits believe is a reward for her role in spearheading the sole candidacy of Museveni in the forthcoming 2016 general elections.
