Kermundo, whose mandate involves carrying out valuation of all government Ministries and Departments, stunned the Commission when he disclosed that the Lands Ministry has been operating for the last fifty years without a policy on land acquisitions, resettlement and rehabilitation.
The chairman of the Government Technical Team Dr. Fred Wesonga is now leading a team of surveyors in Kasese to open the boundaries so that both pastoralists and cultivators acquire land tittles through their cooperatives formed at the time of resettlement.
