Traminco Uganda Limited is undertaking construction of Edward Avenue, Buddu Street, Ssese Street and Jesserby Street a project worth 17 billion Shillings. The firm was supposed to complete the projects in July this year. However, only 19 percent of the work is done.
Barely a month into the construction of the planned six lane road from Kitgum House to Nakawa, Kampala Capital City Authority officials have admitted that six lanes are not feasible for the whole stretch earmarked for reconstruction.
