He says in 2009 some of the people attributed the problem of jiggers in the region on the conflict over the Kyabanzinga, a thing he says is false.
Water Aid reports that 8.5 million Ugandans do not have access to safe water. Over 22 million people do not have access to adequate sanitation in Uganda. But what about the quality of the water those with access to it receive?
Kitoole village, Bubogo parish Kabwoya subcounty has gone almost a decade without clean water. Zozimus Karukohe, the village chairperson, says the only tube well in the village broke down eight years ago and it has never been repaired. Karukohe explains that this has left about 500 residents in the village with no option but to fetch water from swamps.
