Ofwono Opondo, the Director of Uganda Media Centre, says preliminary intelligence reports link the attacks to ADF rebels. Opondo claimed that some of Mumberes guards were in touch with ADF rebels on the day of the attacks. Opondos statement contradicts that of Internal Affairs Minister, General Jeje Odongo, who on Tuesday downplayed the involvement of ADF.

Rwenzururu Premier Sent on Leave Pending 'Rwenzori Attacks' Trial rwenzururu attacks

The changes were announced as part of a mini-cabinet reshuffle by Mumbere in a meeting at his palace at Buhikira, north of Kasese town this afternoon. He said that the Premier has been allowed to leave for a non-specified period of time to enable him concentrate on the trial before the General Court Martial.
