The recommendation was based on the Northern Uganda Fertiliser Market Study commissioned by NU-TEC MD, a study that set out to analyse current fertiliser market system and explore the potential to expand fertiliser use in the four key crops grown in northern Uganda.
The pilot project will cover 184 health centres IIIs, 29 health centre IVs and eight hospitals in 20 districts in eastern Uganda. The districts include Bugiri, Bukwo, Bulambuli, Buvuma, Buyende, Kaliro, Kapchorwa, Kayunga, Kween, Luuka, Manafwa, Mayuge, Mbale, Namutumba, Pallisa, Serere, Sironko, Soroti and Tororo.
