Ann Adeke Ebaju, the National Youth MP said it is unfortunate if MPs are really involved in sexual harassment of their employees.. She noted that MPs are not above the law and urged the girls to speak out openly.
Mwesigye came out early this month revealing that for more than 10 years she had been harassed by her boss, Christopher Gashirabake, the director of legal affairs in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs. She, however, added that her complaints had been ignored by the relevant authorities.
The student, whose identity have been withheld, accuses the University of failing to protect her from sexual harassment and alleviate its impact during her period of study at the university between 2012 and 2017.
A Ugandan woman has dragged government to High Court claiming she was sold into slavery by a private company. The woman whose name has been withheld was only identified as â€œJâ€ for purposes of the suit in court. She filed the case through Rwakafuzi and Company advocates.
