Sheikhs Muhammad Yunus Kamoga, Siraji Kawoya, Murta Mudde Bukenya and Fahad Kalungi were sentenced to life imprisonment while Yusuf Kakande alias Abdallah and Abdusalam Sekayanja alias Kassim Mulumba are to spend 30 years in jail.

Police this morning closed down the Masjid Noor Mosque along William Street over terrorist links. The mosque led by Sheikh Yunus Kamoga, is majorly dominated by Muslims from the Tabligh sect that emerged in Uganda to aggressively popularize the teachings of Islam.
