Peter Lukimoi shot the unidentified suspected thief at around 1:30a.m as he responded to an alarm by area residents of Nyabisojo-Kimigi cell in Kisalizi ward, Buliima town council in Masindi district when thugs raided the area.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson explains that as Oluka, other UPDF and police officers were enforcing curfew, they met Tumwesigye at night and tasked him to explain why he was moving past curfew time.
Captain Steven Tumwesige, the Masindi UPDF artillery division spokesperson told Uganda Radio Network that Bongomin was picking a loaded and cocked gun at his house for duty when the tragedy occurred.
