Mbabazis lead lawyer, Muhammad Mbabazi told Justices of the Supreme Court this afternoon on day two of the presidential election petition hearing, that most of the polling stations in Kampala and Wakiso received voting materials as a late as 2:30pm.
Mbabazi told Court that the constitution requires that in announcing the winner, Electoral Commission must rely on results declaration forms, tally sheets and return forms, which wasnt the case. The ruling National Resistance Movement -NRM party won leadership seats in six out of the nine sub counties in Luuka district. These Include Bukanga, Bukooma, Bulongo, Irongo, Waibuga and Irongo Town Council. The other three were won by Independent candidates.
Paul Akamba, the Busiki MP elect, says he defeated his rival in free and fair polls. Akamba says that even if three of the eight sub counties hadnt participated in the elections he would have defeated his rival.
Lucy Apio, another agent suspects their money was swindled by NRM party leaders in Oyam district. She asks the party officials to clear the air on why they havent been paid when other agents were cleared.

Kampala district returning officer, Charles Ntege declared Ssebugwawo winner today after she polled 33,268 votes against her closest rival, NRMs Wilson Brian Kabugo who got 21,144 votes.
Incumbent mayor Godfrey Kabyanga defeated his closest rival James Kabakwa of FDC with a margin of 415 votes. Kabyanga polled 8,935 votes against Kabakwas 8,520 votes.
In his acceptance speech, Batambuze promised to effect reforms in the industrial, land, roads and taxation sectors. Kezaala has conceded defeat and wished the winner a good reign as Mayor Jinja municipality.
According to Nathan Nabaasa, the Masaka district returning officer, FDCs Kayemba polled 8,016 votes. Marvin Ssentongo Makappu of the Democratic Party garnered 5,106 votes.
