The shs 7billion project under the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure development (USMID) has a 0.8kilometer stretch of two streets of Jie and Lopeduru connecting to the Moroto central market. The contract to tarmac the two streets was handed over to Abubaker Technical Services in July 2021, and its completions were expected in October, 2022 all in vain. The contract was then extended to May 2023 but the works have not been completed.
