The angry parents on Monday stormed the school and demanded for its closure. They sounded drums which attracted members of the public to join in forcing the school management to temporarily close the school. The classrooms have cracks and were roofed using old iron sheets.
The three were part of the team of nine royal chiefs who, in August 2014, elected the then Prince Nadiope as Kyabazinga of Busoga. During the elections, they acted as chairperson, secretary and seconder of the royal chiefs council that presided over the process. Gabula was consecrated on September 13, 2014.
