Dr Joan Babalanda Wanyama, the Head of department of surgery at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital says that since Monday they have received more than three hundred patients from the districts of Kibaale, Kiryandongo, Kagadi, Lira, Masindi, Buliisa and Kakumiro.
40 pupils from different schools in the district and other game officials were by Tuesday Afternoon still stranded at Hoima Public School due to lack of transport.
According to Esiko, after stealing the cows, the suspects loaded the animals on a Fuso truck registration number UAS 445C destined for Kyankwanzi district. Esiko says Hoima police immediately notified their counterparts in Kyankwanzi who mounted a road block and intercepted the truck.
