The victim identified only as Yona is a casual labourer working for China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd, the Chinese firm undertaking the construction of Kitgum Central Market. He was rushed for emergency medical treatment in critical condition.
Kitgum District Education Officer Fred Owot told Uganda Radio Network in an interview on Monday that they target to vaccinate 5,000 staff from all learning institutions in the district. He says about 3,000 of those targeted are teaching staff while 2,000 are support staff from Nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions within the Municipality and sub-counties.
