At Nyakaseke Taxi Park, transport from Fort Portal to Kasese has increased from 10,000 Shillings to 20,000 Shillings, Fort Portal to Rwimi from 5,000 Shillings to 10,000 Shillings while Fort Portal- Kibiito is 6,000 from 3,000 Shillings.

Nyabaghole Agnes Ithungu, the wife of Rwenzururu king Charles Wesley Mumbere, was today briefly held and searched at Fort Portal Central Police Station. The police searched her car and confiscated knives and batons belonging to her royal guards.
Brigadier Charles Bakahumura was on Friday speaking at the passing out of UPDF intelligence officers who have completed a five-months course at the School of Military Intelligence at Muhoti Barracks in Fort Portal. The 76 trainees who include four females were equipped with skills in operational intelligence, counter intelligence, criminal investigations and evidence gathering among others.
