Tusiime was convicted to a sentence of either serving two years in Prison or pay a fine of two million shillings and also banned from occupying public office for ten years.

In the ruling read by the acting Deputy Registrar Mbarara High Court, Samuel Twakire, Justice Moses Kazibwe Kawumi dismissed the petition because it was not supported with a valid affidavit.
